MY COACHING STORY
Experienced. Qualified. Supportive.
I have worked in the health industry for the last 17 years coaching women in Athletics, strength & conditioning, general fitness coaching, and nutrition from a background in Sports Science. I now work as a Sports Educator/mentor for National Governing Bodies such as Athletics Ireland and through Local Sports Partnerships and Sport Ireland. I specialise in 3 areas – Menopause, participation sport, and endurance sport.
I collaborate with active women at all levels from participation to performance at national and international levels. What they all have in common is that they have struggled through the menopause years. This led me to in-depth training on the science behind our new physiology and what we can do to support ourselves to thrive not just survive this period of our lives.
The two big questions that ladies ask are ‘Why has exercise become so hard’ and ‘Why have I gained weight??’ There is no one answer to this question. The answer lies in figuring out our menopause jigsaw of HRT (optional), specific exercise, specific nutrition, and stress management. When all the pieces in the jigsaw join that is where the magic happens, and we get back to feeling like ourselves again. This is the basis for my work.
